Choices for Life

Primary 7 pupils from across the St David’s ASG joined S1 pupils at the High School to make a unique transition video sharing their ideas about how to make good CHOICES FOR LIFE!

Awesome acrobatics in P3!

P3 enjoyed a fun gymnastics session with visiting PE teacher Mr Wilson. They had to use their imagination and team-work skills to make up and perform interesting floor routines. Look out for some future Olympic God medalists!

Ash Wednesday Mass

The whole school wants to say a big thank you to Father Allan and all the parishioners who came along on 1st March 2017 to celebrate Ash Wednesday Mass.

All children and staff are now fully prepared to go into Lent, preparing for the death and Resurrection of our Lord.

Brilliant Bushcraft!

Primary 3 enjoyed a fantastic visit to Vogrie Park, where they were introduced to Bushcraft. There were loads of opportunities to work with others and learn a real variety of new skills. The sunshine and large amounts of mud were just an added bonus!  Here’s what we got up to:

Building hammocks . . .

Learning how to build fires . . . .

Toasting marshmallows . . . .

Creating Stick Men . . . .

P7 Robotics Projects

P7 have had an exciting opportunity to build their own robot. They have been working on their projects at home for 6 weeks. As part of their home learning they have had to research robotics, design a robot which solved a problem that they had, create a detailed drawing and then finally build their robot. This week they have had to present talks to the class about their robot and their learning.

All of the children in P7 have put a lot of effort into their projects, A Big thanks to anyone who helped at home! Please have a look at some of our photos below! We will upload the rest as soon as we can :)!

This Week in Primary 1 -24.2.17

Primary 1 have begun to create Jack’s Beanstalk with Mrs Valentine. We have been learning new tricky words and have enjoyed our rainbow writing activity.

Easter Hall Displays

In preparation for Easter, each class is creating a display showing one part of the Easter Story. Here are some of our creations so far; we cannot wait to see them all!

Art Outdoors

Inspired by the work of  Artist Andy Goldsworthy the primary 2 pupils, created their own hedgehog pictures using leaves they collected from the school grounds.
